My Designs as Needle Minders

I thought I'd share something new - my 4 snow globe designs have been turned into needle minders.

For those who don't know, a needle minder is made of various materials, such as wood or metal. The decorative part is placed on the front of your sewing and the magnet is placed on the back of it, directly behind the front part. The magnet keeps your needle in place on the needle minder when you're not using it for sewing - meaning you shouldn't ever lose your needle!

I originally created these snowy themed designs to be turned into cross stitch patterns, but when Sues at 'Cotton Club Crafts' asked me if I'd like to have my designs turned into needle minders I said yes.

I was intrigued as to how they would work on such a small scale. I needn't have worried - when I saw the final product I thought they looked so cute!

Somehow the tiny metal needle minders have kept the look and feel of my original sketches, with very few colours. I'm really pleased with how they've turned out!
